most of us have seen the stunning work of coralie bickford-smith. her penguin classic and f. scott fitzgerald book covers make the historic books all the more collectible. looks like she's done it again for great food, another penguin press collection born of one woman's love affair with old british cookbooks.

have you guys seen the latest anthropologie catalogue? naturally, it's chock full of splendors and rarities worth coveting, but i also found myself lusting for a free afternoon of friends, food and a little romance. and if there's a tiny little tritter in the mix, all the better.

i used to do this on the twotallblondes blog and sort of got away from it. most of the items i've featured have been great deals i scored myself. in keeping with that, i just came across these gorgeous michael kors beauties on shopbop and couldn't help but notice the likeness to a fab pair of franco sarto sandals i snagged a few months ago . . . although i do love the hit of metallic in the kors pair, the sartos have quickly become some of my closet favorites, and for a $165 saving, they're a definite win.
