What's that? Only once or twice?
Well, after posting this guy and admitting my addiction last night, Danielle from One Kings Lane was
horse // frog // piggy bank // large giraffe pair // peacock dish // angel fish (he's big!)
lion // swan dish // elephant bookends // elephant // tiger // gazelle pair // deer (just like mine!)
huge llama (?!?!! um. awesome.) // gazelle on stand // gazelle (I have a similar pair!) // unicorn
These were going FAST last night, so if you're interested, better move quick!
I too have a brass problem. the first step is admitting it and the second is just to purchase some brass! love it.
ReplyDeletehaha! well said, Stephanie.
ReplyDeleteI have a ton of brass b/c my mom lived in India for a while and was smart enough to save everything - the coolest perforated candlesticks, a giant round guy for the wall, camels, little boxes, you name it, it's somewhere in my house. They probably need a good polishing.
ReplyDeleteThese critters are amazing! I too have a Brass problem; I can't seem to stop buying brass lamps! Just snagged another one at a local KC consignment shop this weekend. Its urn-shaped and I have to say I felt like I was carrying the 1st-prized trophy when I walked out with it! Now to find just the right shade to go with it
ReplyDeleteI'm an enabeler, what can I do...
ReplyDeleteomg i had to stop myself from buying so many brass animals- and this is after I gave away so many at christmas! I have to say though, the brass animals on one kings lane are usually double what you can find the same exact animal for on ebay. I once saw a pair of quails for $120- but found the exact same ones on ebay for $35- and that included shipping! Sometimes in the vintage/ antique world its worth to double check another site too. That being said- this is a really unique collection!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! I had no idea there were so many different ones.

Hello from Alt....
ReplyDeleteI am on a copper kick lately, but whoooweee this post has me falling hard for some brassinass
We definitely have a problem...but I say don't stop til you get enough, right?! Brass is back as far as I'm concerned!!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the gazelles!! I'd take any and all!! Of course I love all animal figurines but I esp love them in brass.
ReplyDeleteI hit the antique stores for some clients today and discovered a HERD of brass camels. I swear, there were like ten of them. Small. Perfect. And I had no place/ person for them!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I'm not alone on this one, you guys. Brass foreva!
ReplyDeleteI saw the exact same elephant at the flea. I'm regretting not buying it. Agh!
ReplyDeleteHa!! You are speaking my language young lady!! (Check out my post on my own brass animal army here: http://www.swoonworthy.co.uk/2013/02/brass-menagerie-rise-of-golden-army.html) - I can't resist the lure of a brassy friend!! But holy heck, those prices are high. I'll second the other poster who said you'll get them a lot cheaper on eBay - I've never paid more than about £15 for mine (including shipping), most of them were under a tenner. Obviously this is a pretty fabulously curated collection but if you do your digging, there are bargains to be had :) xxx
ReplyDeleteHoly crap! These are all adorable. Kind of need those giraffes.
