but i will say that this has inspired me to go on a painting binge. g's room is next (dark purple, remember?). and then the entryway. so let's just admire this for today, shall we?

first of all, that floor kills. KILLS. i'm also quite smitten with the nice clean ivory paint color up top. then there's the arched doorways, abundance of natural light, the fact that the hall is wide enough for a gorge antique console and dream settee (which i want in my formal right this second, please). those topiaries would look good on my front stoop (eric wants lions. who's gonna win that one?)
at this point, i'm really just focused on the paint color. i need something clean and classic.
any color reccos?
okay, and maybe that settee.
nails.
I love Amy Morris. Actually I stalk her ;)
ReplyDeleteStop. That entryway is, wait for it, AWESOME. I love everything about it! If you're looking for white I just used Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee in my playroom and it's a really pretty off-white that doesn't have any yellow in it. Benjamin Moore Linen White is also a classic with a little more yellow in it. I can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteI love me a chevron floor. That whole entry way is just lovely. Oh, and that teal fabric on the settee kills me. As far a wall color I love the historical colors from BM esp. the neutrals.
ReplyDeleteUm, that floor. AMAZING!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe black handrail is a gorgeous accent! Tailored and classic.
ReplyDeleteLions! LOL!
I am dying over the brick floor!! You are right, grand is awesome! xoxo elizabeth
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorites, so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteYes please and thank you. That settee?? Be still my heart.
ReplyDeleteWaiting on pins and needles :)
ReplyDeleteBut, really. I also have a small bathroom with no window and it is redic.
That is one stunning entry!!!
ReplyDeleteI dreamed of a making our grand v entry beautiful bit it just doesn't seem possible as we have 8 doors plust a hallway running from it, which leaves no wall-space for decorating :(

The settee and the floor alone are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how amazing the rest of this house is if the entryway is that great!
