rockin to the oldies

April 13, 2011

i find myself in a strange pattern lately; trying to finish (or, really, start over on) the space we're in now, while remaining mindful of the fact that we won't be here much longer. read: budget-friendly. anyone that knows me is aware of my affinity for vintage treasures. i rarely make it through a shopping trip without bringing something home with me, so i've been avoiding antique malls and second-hand stores like the plague.

hubs and i were on a walk this past beautiful saturday and, as we passed the neighborhood antique mall, curiosities in the window beckoned and we found ourselves killing the next 2 hours searching for more of them. a few things caught my eye, as always:

note: the deer is taking a rest on the coolest 8' buffet. couldn't help but include it, despite the creepiness.

and what made it home from the window, you ask? these little guys! the brass owls are going to require some clean-up, but they've at least found a home for now.

i have long been a fan of illustrator sara mulvanny. her work is completely unique and always on par.

easy glam

swooning over this space from nuevo estilo. the mirrored wall behind the wood pillars, paned glass dividers, polished but relaxed furniture choices, and thoughtful use of space are really speaking to me.

and maybe begging for a similar home reno.

anyone know those winning lottery numbers, by chance? i'll give you a cool million off the top :)

color wonder

sort of smitten with these diana delgado pieces. while i'm on a mission to simplify color in my own home, i can certainly see these front and center in a calm, white space.
